Description

EDIT : Thanks for the DD

I'm a bit confused because I don't think this piece deserves a DD. The animation is not perfect and the MAIN problem is the lack of weight tranfer from left to right. ( there is other problems but minor)

So when you see it you won't miss it now !

I may fix it someday ... or not !

Thanks for reading.

Upon my first viewing this work, I had take some time to gather up my thoughts and fully take it all in. Allow me to break down this critique and explain my four scores for this art piece.

Starting with Vision: I presented you with 4 starts, seeing how this is to be one aspect of an entire planned set of 3D model animations. That is not an easy task and you've taken it on fully. I admire your ambition.

In terms of originality, I presented you with 3.5 stars. For a long while now the concept of robots and mechs has been around for some time. However you took the effort to customizing your very own robotic recreation and that is commendable. Yet, this activity is charted territory in the idea market. But you were able to take it a step further than most and created a model of your mech. A smart choice.

The technique receives a very solid 5 starts. Because not only have you been able display your own abilities with the usage of maya 2009; it seems that a piece like this, one of such high quality, makes the program Maya 2009 seem better as a product. That is impressive. The actual stride of the robot is smooth and natural to it's shape and design. That alone is VERY hard to replicate with ease. I particularly love how the weight of the robot is visually represented with the firmness in each step along with a slight bounce on impact. Very well done.

In terms of Impact, you have been given a solid 5 stars. As I explained in your technique the effort put into this piece is apparent. The general look of this model is strong and well constructed. It's almost enjoyable to watch this mech travel forward endlessly. It is hard to ignore this art piece and for good reason.

Overall, this again is a fine model and design. I hope to be able to see this with more detailed textures in the future. You should be proud of your work.
